Annual Grocery Donations to the Food Pantry at Boston Medical Center
Hunger impacts families all year round. The pandemic has only made things worse. Along with an increase in unemployment, the rate of food insecurity for families in Massachusetts has doubled since last year.
In past years, during the High Holidays, we have supported the Food Pantry at Boston Medical Center by picking up empty grocery bags at Rosh Hashanah and returning full ones at Yom Kippur. Our support is even more important this year.
Instead of picking up a grocery bag like last year, simply download this grocery list provided by the Food Pantry. If you can during this challenging time, please fill a bag (or two!) of groceries from this list on your next trip to the grocery store. Full bags can be dropped off at the synagogue between August 21 and October 13, 2020 between 8 am and 2 pm. If you need to drop off at another time, please contact Benita to arrange it.
If you’re unable to pick up groceries but would still like to contribute, please make a monetary donation directly to the Grow Clinic at Boston Medical Center.
Your support is critical at this time and will make an immediate difference in the lives of our neighbors struggling with food insecurity.
