VOTE YES ON 3 TO PROTECT TRANSGENDER RIGHTS

Speaker Mimi Micner of Keshet (11:30)

As Massachusetts faces a call to protect transgender civil rights at the ballot in November 2018, HBT is supporting a YES vote on the ballot initiative to prevent a rollback of non-discrimination protections for trans people in public spaces that the legislature passed in 2016.

Come hear Mimi Micner speak about what the Jewish community is doing and what YOU can do to uphold human rights and to protect our transgender community members from discrimination.

Mimi Micner is a fifth year Rabbinical Student at Hebrew College in Boston, and is Keshet's Advocacy and Campaigns Specialist and Rabbinic Intern. While in rabbinical school Mimi has prioritized justice work as a Fellow with T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights. a Community Organizing Trainer and Online Course Instructor for Don’t Kvetch, Organize with JOIN for Justice, and the co-founder of the Jewschool column #TorahForTheResistance. Mimi is from Vancouver, BC and now lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
