Family and children’s break-fasts

Breaking the fast at the end of Yom Kippur is one of the most joyous moments for our community and we hope this year will continue that tradition. While we can't host a gathering in our building, we encourage you to reach out to others to break the fast with you.

Here are a few suggestions:

Breakfast for families with young children:During the break from 5:30 to 6:45pm, gather outdoors with another family in a backyard or park. Breakfast after the final shofar blast at 7:30:Bring a drink and snack (challah, fruit, granola bars)  to eat after the final shofar blast at the end of Parking Lot Neilah.  To be safe, eat in your car and then put on a mask to greet others in the parking lot or on the grass in front of the temple. After the final shofar, gather with another family in your backyard.Arrange a Zoom breakfast at home to shmooze with other families while you eat your break fast meal.
