Weather Permitting
Shakin' Shabbat
This month, Shakin' Shabbat, our short, interactive family service led by Rabbi Barbara Penzner, will take place at 5:45pm at Hynes Field Park in West Roxbury. Hynes Field is off the VFW Parkway and there is street parking on Courtney and Russett Rds. where we will meet. We will take advantage of the playground and green space while the weather is still warm enough for us to be outside comfortably!
After the service, we will continue to candle-lighting, kiddush, and a pizza dinner (with participants spread out to physically distance- you may want to bring a blanket to sit on). There will be playtime and chatting (for children and adults) until it gets too dark and/or buggy, around 7pm.
If there are more than 12 families, we'll ask everyone to be masked while we're together (except for when we're eating). If there are fewer than 12 families, masks will be required only during singing and when we're gathered closely together.
Bring: yourself, a blanket for you and your family to sit on, and a veggie/dairy side dish or dessert if you'd like. If you'd like to bring $5-10 to help defray costs, we'll accept that before sunset, if not, no worries.
RSVP, HERE by 10:00am Friday October 8 (or sooner) so we may plan accordingly.
