Upcoming Communal Conversations; facilitated by Rabbi Aliza

  • Temple Hillel B'nai Torah 120 Corey Street West Roxbury MA 02126 (map)

Upcoming Communal Conversations:

The goal of these two conversations, both facilitated by Rabbi Aliza, is to listen to one another, hear one another, and be heard by one another.

  •  April 22nd, 7 - 8:30pm: Antisemitism. (We know this is during school break.) Rabbi Aliza recently sent out a big email about antisemitism, linked HERE. Mostly, our conversation about antisemitism will be about listening to one another. We will also have time to go over the content of the rabbi's email and to react to it (to agree, disagree, add onto, edit, reflect upon).

  • May 6th, 7 - 8:30pm: Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. The conversation around Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank will have no specific added content from Rabbi Aliza - it will be 100% about listening to one another. The rabbi might add a few thoughts during the conversation, but the program will be about understanding one another and one another's experiences.

From Rabbi Aliza: I'm really looking forward to being together for these conversations. This is the work of community, and in my opinion, it is deeply holy work.
