Body - Spirit - Mind
Wednesday, October 5
1:35 - 4:15pm
1:35 - 2:25pm - Chair Yoga
Join Laurie Rotman in a gentle, chair yoga practice, where we will use breath and poses to further enhance our Yom Kippur experience. No mats, props or prior familiarity with yoga is needed.
2:30 - 3:20pm - Chanting & Meditation with Tracy Rich
(will only be held if weather permits us to be outside)
What are you “returning” to this year? What is calling to your inner heart to go towards to or let go of? What needs to be released? Comforted? Heard? This session of devotional chanting in Hebrew and English (no Hebrew reading ability required) and time to sit in silent reflection is designed to help us attune to these questions and to receive support in listening within for what arises.
3:25 - 4:15pm - Tikkun Olam Discussion
"Is this the fast that I want?” (Isaiah).
What does Tikkun Olam mean to each of us? How do we make Tikkun Olam part of our regular Jewish practice and make connections across divides, as the Rabbi spoke of in her Rosh Hashanah Dvar. We will have group discussion, and one-on-one conversations.
