Monday, January 27th - the anniversary of the day Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated - is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, as designated by the UN General Assembly. This year, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Our Moment for Ma'ariv will be extended by 30 minutes on January 27th - we will be together from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. In our first thirty minutes, we will use song and story to commemorate the precious lives lost during the Holocaust and to honor the survivors. We will center the experiences of those in our own HBT community who have the closest personal relationships to the horrors of the Holocaust as we are together as a community. The second thirty minutes will be a traditional Ma'ariv service.

Every year, and especially this year in our current political climate, recognizing and marking this day is of essential importance. Please join us to be together in community on this day.
